These're Efficient Electric Hot Water Heaters
"These electric hot water heaters are so effective!"
What’s all the fuss about electric hot water heaters? Many people are clamoring on and on about them, but are they as good and energy efficient as they’re supposed to be? It would be such a pain to considering getting a replacement and having to install it if the older, natural gas type was still working quite well.
It’s a good thing that you decided to do a little research first. Because if you’re in your current home and not planning on moving any time, and your current water heater is working right, then you’d be wasting your time trying to make a switch. The small benefits would not be noticeable to you. However, if you’re going into a new home, it definitely would not hurt to request one. They can be the same size as the typical fuel models (from 80 gallons down to 50, and even below that). They’re also made by all the same brands, including Titan, Rinnai, GE, Bosch, Ruud, Bradford, and others.
As for all the different styles that were previously available, you don’t have to worry about those anymore. With electric, you can rest assured that you’re getting instantaneous, on demand, hot water. While a lot of people claim that these require less maintenance and repair, this isn’t necessarily true. They break down too, though they don’t have a leaking problem.
So what you’re going to find with these electric types is that although they’re new and fancy, they’re not that incredibly spectacular. In the end, you’ll be happy as long as you have nice hot water for your showers and sinks, right? So if you’re going into a new home, you can request one, but if you don’t get one, don’t sweat it. You’ll have plenty of other ways to help care for the earth and save money on energy bills.
